چکیده
In this paper, we address a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication system based on generalized spatial modulation (GSM) and dual-polarized (DP) antennas in sub-TeraHertz (sub-THz) bands to improve the Spectral Efficiency (SE) while reducing correlation effect space occupancy. Moreover, joint Maximum Likelihood (ML) detector Modified Ordered Block Minimum Mean-Squared Error (MOB-MMSE) algorithm are proposed detect jointly complex symbols virtual bits conveyed by activated polarization transmit antenna combination index. MOB-MMSE can achieve near-ML performance with low complexity. The of DP-GSM over correlated Rayleigh/Rician fading indoor sub-THz channels is studied. Provided results show that robust effects under Rician channel. addition, an average bit-error probability (ABEP) upper bounding derived analyzed for channels. Since band suffers from many technological limitations severe RF-impairments such as output power important phase noise (PN), studied considering impairments. Dual Polarized Spatial Multiplexing (DP-SMX) Uni-Polarized GSM (UP-GSM) compared system. reveal order schemes QPSK outperforms UP-GSM. Besides, DP-SMX provide good up medium PN, which interesting bands, but reduce transceiver cost using lower number RF chains when used transmitter architecture RF-switching.

Strained-Si modulation doped field effect transistors as detectors of terahertz and sub-terahertz radiation
Strained-Si modulation doped field effect transistors have been studied as detectors of 0.2 THz and 1.6 THz electromagnetic radiation at room temperature. The difference in the gate voltage dependences for 0.2 THz and 1.6 THz radiation and spatial pattern of the transistor response to focused 1.6 THz radiation confirms that the mechanism of detection is linked to the excitations of the two-dime...
متن کاملMetadevice for intensity modulation with sub-wavelength spatial resolution
Effectively continuous control over propagation of a beam of light requires light modulation with pixelation that is smaller than the optical wavelength. Here we propose a spatial intensity modulator with sub-wavelength resolution in one dimension. The metadevice combines recent advances in reconfigurable nanomembrane metamaterials and coherent all-optical control of metasurfaces. It uses nanom...

متن کاملGeneralized Spatial Modulation with Correlated Antennas in Rayleigh Fading Channels
Spatial modulation (SM) is a transmission scheme where only one transmit antenna is active at any time instant. It thus reduces interchannel interference (ICI) and receiver complexity over traditional multi-antenna systems. However, the spectral efficiency of SM is low. To improve the spectral efficiency, generalized spatial modulation (GSM) can be used. In this paper, we propose to apply the A...
متن کاملReduced Size, Dual-Polarized Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Communications
A novel, compact, probe-fed microstrip patch antenna for operation in dual-polarization mode is proposed. The novel design is achieved by etching out a symmetric pattern of crossed slots from the surface of a square probe-fed patch. Reduction in patch size of up to 51% with respect to a traditional dual-polarized square patch operating at the same frequency is obtained. Results show linear pola...
